Vita Nova - www.vitanovainc.org .  A wonderful group, their mission is to help young adults transition to independence by providing a stable, nurturing environment that includes housing, counseling, and education.

Vita Nova was founded by a man who sought to help foster youth armed only with the belief that programs and services could be improved and delivered in a way like never before in this community. Leo Armbrust, known to most as "Father Leo" set out to create a premiere group home for abused, abandoned and neglected youth, ages 13-18. Originally this was to be called Renaissance Village. But as fate would have it, the dream of such a facility was refocused in a different and closely related direction. Leo was not deterred from seeking to make a difference in the lives of homeless youth. He continued to raise the necessary funds and support for the development of an organization that would address the issue of homelessness in the youth of Palm Beach County. ...learn more

Thrift Store - if you have items to donate, these wonderful folks will stop by (when in the area) and pick up your donations, and resell them to help this organization -or they might simply be repurposed to help young adults as they setup their first homes..

SIP's is dedicated to my grandfather Chester E. Clark whom published and edited several small town newspapers across America (and was run out of a few of those small towns for his journalistic work) until he settled in Chicago as the Executive Assistant of the American Newspaper Publishers Association, and later retired to his hometown of Harbor Springs Michigan, where he often contributed/wrote  articles for the local newspaper. I grew up hearing amazing stories of his exploits (like this 1958 letter from then senator Robert F. Kennedy) learning about those adventures help set me on a path of using digital media to enable people to network, learn and share.

My hope is that SIP's will provide value for both residents and visitors of our resort community.
